Fans will Help Shape the DLC for Fallout 4
The game director for Fallout 4 – Todd Howard – is already talking about the game’s future DLC expansions even though the game has just come out. Basically, Fallout 4’s expansions will be made based on what the fans of the game want. He stated:
This game is huge, but it’s not just this launch. It’s going to be well deep into next year. It’s like the game is done [does air quotes] but it’s not done, because until everybody plays it, it’s not really done. Because what they bring to it is really important; we’re going to see what people like, what they want more of, what they want different, and we’re going to do that.
Our fans are amazing; they’re super-smart. This is important to them, just like it is to us.
DLC for the game was announced back in September of this year, well before the game ever released. At the time Bethesda did say they didn’t know in what direction the DLC would take, but that they planned on delivering a $0 value for only $30. The first of the expansions won’t be released until next year in 2016.
