Two New Modes for Star Wars: Battlefront

Star Wars Battlefront

With the Star Wars: Battlefront beta coming to a close, and the game itself due out now in just under a month, Electronic Arts and DICE have been dropping more details. Including further information about some of the modes that will be available.

Hero Hunt is one that was just recently leaked, and now it’s been confirmed with more details. It’s a 1v7 mode where hunt of the Hero turns on whomever takes out the Hero, at which point that individual becomes the one that’s being hunted. DICE further stated the necessity of knowing of strengths and weaknesses of both Heroes and Villains in order for them to be taken down. And that strategic deployment of star card abilities will also be vital.

The second new mode is Droid Run – one from which we’ve heard no prior information. This is a 6v6 mode involving factions battling for control of droids, the likes of which will include GNK. There are three droids that must be collected, and the droids themselves are actively moving around the map. Capturing a droid earns capture points, and there are no hero or vehicle pickups. DICE also said that the small maps will allow both the slower, meticulous runs, or the more agile runs in to get to the droids a fast as possible.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be out for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One Nov 10.
