John Wick First-Person Shooter in Development by Starbreeze

Posted August 9, 2015 by Kenesu in News

Starbreeze & development team Grab are joining forces to create a fantastic first-person shooter themed from the movie John Wick. Just to put it out there, if you haven’t seen John Wick… GO SEE IT!!!! It’s pretty awesome and holds key elements within it that would help in developing a video game based on its core presence if developed right… and that’s where Starbreeze and Grab steps in.

With Grab already having prior experience in Virtual Reality and Mobile games, Starbreeze and Grab alongside distributor WEVR and theBlu: Encounter Studio will be working together to creating a First-person shooter themed from the characters and environments set within the John Wick film. Though not much information has been shared thus far concerning the game, Starbreeze and Grab have stated that they have plans to deliver a “fully immersive VR experience” within the game, as John Wick is being developed for use for all currently existing VR Headsets. The game isn’t set to release until spring of 2016 and with John Wick 2 in development to be released next September, an amazing VR game would definitely be a very clever segway into the movie if developed right. I’m sure Starbreeze and Grab have it all under control though.
