Fallout 4 Will Allow Post-Game Play

Posted August 7, 2015 by Kat in News

As a part of the open-world gaming being offered in Fallout 4, the game will include the option to continue post-game material well past the end of the game.

Developer Bethesda confirmed this on twitter, stating, “To our fans who’ve asked Fallout 4 doesn’t end when the main story is over and there is no level cap. You can keep playing and leveling.”

Doubtless this feels like a foregone conclusion to many, but previous entries in the Fallout series did not initially offer this as an opportunity to players. Fallout: New Vegas pretty well ended when the story was done, while Fallout 3 did rather likewise.

What’s more Fallout 3 had the potential for your main character to die, pretty well concluding events. It was only at the release of a later DLC pack for the game titled ‘Broken Steel’ that this was rectified with access to post-game material and a raised level cap.

Fortunately, Bethesda looks to be more than making up for this will Fallout 4 – alongside the ability to continue playing and leveling up past the story’s end, they’ve further promised over 400 hours of content for the game.

Fallout 4 is due out November 10 for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
