Dying Light: The Following DLC Bringing Dune Buggys

Dying Light was one of those surprising games that had significant buzz early this year and managed not to disappoint. Recently, developer Techland decided that this Gamescon was going to feature a preview of their upcoming massive DLC expansion now titled Dying Light: The Following that has been rumored and teased for quite some time now.

In an announcement, Techland said the following about The Following:

“For Dying Light: The Following, we’re adding a number of bold game-changers to create one massive expansion,” Dying Light producer Tymon Smektala said. “Something big that will give the game a brand-new flavor. The new map alone is the same size as all the previous maps from Dying Light combined, so there is a lot we’re packing in here.”

Part of the reason for the size of this map is due to the addition of dune buggys. As you know in the main game, there are no vehicles so adding significant size to the map was probably a product of that. It will be interesting to see how this new expansion weaves in a story as well as vehicles into a parkour heavy game that was enhanced by the game’s heavy reliance on traversing the maps on foot.

Stay tuned to Gamescon news for more info on this expansion, zombie hunters.
