Mooncrest

A group of former BioWare and pen-and-paper game developers have teamed up and are preparing to launch a Kickstarter for their RPG.  The title of this intended game is called Moooncrest and it will come to us via developer Knightmayor.

Rick Burton, James Henley, Brian Ledden, and Jeff Visgaitis are preparing to launch the crowdfun of this new title that will follow a pair of heroines in a new RPG fantasy world.  The game’s description is as follows:

After generations of peace, whispers of an ominous threat are heard on the streets of Mooncrest. Can a mismatched pair of heroines overcome the challenges of their enemies and each other or will all end in ruin?

It will be a single-player, story-based fantasy RPG that follows the characters of Sera and Pirotase.  Combat will be real-time and tactical, further described as Dark Souls-style where “your wits will matter as much as your reflexes.”  There will also be “cinematic conversations and challenging puzzles” and the puzzles themselves will be logic-based.

No launch date for the Kickstarter has yet been given, but you can check out the game’s official website – including further description of the two main characters and concept art – here.
