Batman: Arkham Knight is finally nearing its release, and with it is already coming its first patch.  Developer Rocksteady has already made announcement of the day-one patch to arrive with the launch of the game itself, and that will clock in at a hefty 3.5 GB download.

Specific fixes that will be provided by this patch will include:

  • Improved Performance
  • Stability Fixes
  • New feature: Rival Points
  • New feature: Original Batsuit skin available to select
  • Support for “A Matter Of Family” additional content (this is the preorder-exclusive prequel DLC)
  • General gameplay, graphical, audio, UI, and localization fixes

Though it has yet to arrive in the hands of gamers, the PlayStation 4 version of the game currently holds a 91 on Metacritic (Xbox One reviews are still forthcoming) with reviewers praising everything from the impressive next-gen graphics, to the inclusion of the Batmobile (a first for the series), as well as universal praise for remaining one of the best comic book adaptations in gaming.

Batman: Arkham Knight is the fourth title in the widely praised Batman: Arkham series and the first to appear on next-gen consoles, with release due June 23 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
