It’s Friday, all! The weekend is upon us, and it’s time to relax and get some decent gaming in… but first – The Weekly News Rundown! Every week, at the end of the week I ‘rundown’ some of the news stories in the world of gaming from the past week. So, let’s get started!

It was announced by Capcom earlier this week that they would be releasing another Resident Evil title in HD after earlier announcements that HD remakes would be a reoccurring thing for them. We will be seeing an HD remake of Resident Evil 0, which was originally made exclusively for the GameCube back in 2002. We can expect the game to release sometime early next year (2016) for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

Capcom decided to do more HD remakes of past games after the success they saw with their recent rerelease of Resident Evil, which sold over one million copies worldwide.

Well, for those of you who were hoping you’d be seeing Mortal Kombat X for your last gen consoles are still out of luck. Originally the game was slated to release for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on June 2nd, but now it looks as if we’ll be waiting until MUCH later in the year, like say, Christmas time…

GameStop is now putting the place-holding date at December 31st. Now, it could very well come out earlier that that, but for now, that’s what it’s placed at until the publisher can give us a definite date on the last gen release of the game.

As of today, the Xbox One will finally be getting its long-awaited patch for The Witcher III: Wild Hunt. With patch 1.03, the game will lock the game’s frame rate at 30fps, which will hopefully clear up some of the previous problems Xbox One users have had with the game.

CD Projekt Red is still doing all they can to clear up and fix whatever glitches players are finding in the game.
