Happy Friday, all! The weekend is upon us, and it’s time to sit back and relax and play your favorite video game. But before all of that can transpire, it’s time for the Weekly News Rundown! The WNR is where I, GP’s very own Nightingale ‘runsdown’ some of the news stories from the past week in the world of gaming.

Sooo…who here loves the recent slew of HD remakes? I’m all for nostalgia, so I welcome any HD remake I can get. Capcom has recently announced that they plan on releasing more HD remakes of some of their previous games. With the popularity of their latest HD remake, Resident Evil, they figured they’d crank out a few more. We have no idea as of right now which games will be seeing a remake, so we can only hope and dream to see our faves get remade. I for one vote for Resident Evil 3, because who doesn’t want to see Nemesis in HD?!

Fans of Pokemon now have something more to look forward to in the very near future. The Pokemon Company and Nintendo recently announced that later this year we will be getting Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon, another installment into the spin-off series. There are very few details right now, but all we know is that the game will release on the 3DS and will be available this winter. If it’s like all the past Pokemon games, we’ll be seeing sometime in November, just in time for Christmas.

You know that patch that The Witcher III: Wild Hunt got on PC? You know, the one that was also coming to consoles? Well, if you were expecting it to be here before the weekend, you’re out of luck, my friend. According to a Tweet on Twitter, we’ll be seeing the console version of the PC patch sometime next week for the PS4 and Xbox One.

The patch is supposed to fix the graphics in the game, making them more true to what we saw in the demo for the game.
