The PlayStation Update 5/26/15
How’s it going GP fans?!? Kenesu here with another installment of The PlayStation Update. If you’re a fan of fighting games then you’ll be glad to know that Sony has brought us an Exclusive gem this week that is sure to satisfy those of the competitive fighting scene as well as those who have mastered the deadly art of Button-Mash. This week on the PS Store, Ultra Street Fighter IV has been bestowed upon us and comes loaded with all the DLC costumes and characters that were previously added to the game. Street Fighter has always held its own as being the fighter that anyone could pick up and have fun with regardless of skill level and Ultra Street Fighter IV will be no different as Ultra SFIV has a total of 44 characters, all of which have their own unique fighting styles and move-list so finding a character that fits your play-style shouldn’t be that tough of a feat. Though if all else fails, there’s no shame in spamming Hadukens and Shoryukens from Ryu. Though if Street Fighter isn’t your speed, then why not get your hands on Mega Man 8 (known as Rockman 8: Metal Heroes) and take a trip down PSone memory lane with this classic action platformer.
While investigating a strange aura of energy emitting from a meteor shower that just crashed on the island, he finds Dr. Wily already conducting an investigation of his own and manages to snag the energy source for himself and gets away. Not sure what Dr. Wily could possibly be up to though knows it can’t be anything righteous if it’s Dr. Wilys doing, he vows to go after Dr. Wily, take him down once again and thwart whatever project he’s planning to muster up with the energy source he stole. Mega Man 8 has all the classic side-scrolling platforming action that you’ll come to remember from previous Mega Man titles with new bosses honing unique battle styles and strategies aiming to disrupt your every move and drop you where you stand. Though Mega Man isn’t coming back without a few new tricks of his sleeve as you’ll now be able to use multiple weapons and attacks simultaneously on screen. You’ll also be able to have access to your Mega Buster at any given time, no matter if your Master Weapon is equipped or not. These few tricks alone will prove to be very useful when going against the Robot Masters set before you. If you’re a Mega Man fan or just enjoy an action platformer in general, then you can’t go wrong with Mega Man 8. Check below for the full list of everything released on the Playstation Store this week and be sure to keep it locked to GP as we keep you up to date on what’s circulating within your gaming universe. See ya!
