Salutations, fellow gamers! It’s Friday (Friday the 13th, at that!) and as always before our weekend begins, we must first ‘rundown’ the top news stories of the week from the gaming world in the Weekly News Rundown!

First up on the news, it looks like Nintendo came out ahead for the month of February when it comes to hardware sales. Their handhelds, both the Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL were at the top when it comes to hardware, beating out both the PS4 and Xbox One. When talking about their success for the month of February, Nintendo stated:

“The one-two-three punch of New Nintendo 3DS XL, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D, and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate helped Nintendo 3DS become the top-selling hardware platform in the United States in February.”

I mean, it’s not at all surprising to me that they were the top in sales for last month, as the 3DS is the best selling handheld out at the moment. Great job, Nintendo, great job.

Have you ever just sat back and thought to yourself, “Hey, I really wish I could let Square Enix know what I want from them next…“… Well, now is your chance!

Square Enix is conducting a survey that asks what your gaming preferences are, what types of games you play, what Square Enix title you’re playing now, and even asks you what you want to see from them next!

This is a really neat way to see what their fans want from them, and get a feel for who they are catering to. If you want to take the survey, hop on over to this link here. Also, for taking the survey, you’ll be entered in to win $100 to spend in the Square Enix online shop!

Good news to those who play Titanfall and have yet to purchase any of the three DLC packs for it. As thanks for supporting Titanfall throughout its first year, Respawn is making all the DLC packs free for PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One as part of the game’s one year anniversary. The DLC you can now get for free are Expedition, Frontier’s Edge, and IMC Rising.

So will you be grabbing up this DLC now that you can get it for free?

Also in the realm of Titanfall news, it has been confirmed that Titanfall 2 is happening, and that it will be for multiple platforms this time around. At the BAFTA Game Awards, CEO of Respawn, Vince Zampella, stated the following:

“I guess EA announced a sequel, so I could play coy and pretend I don’t know anything about it, or… yeah. So we’re working on a sequel. No official name yet, but we’re working on that. That’s the main focus but we’re starting up a second team and doing some smaller stuff too. Small, exploratory, taking it slow! It’ll be multiplatform.”

So how excited are you for the next Titanfall game? I’m pretty jazzed that I will be able to get it for my PS4 as I don’t own an Xbox One nor plan to any time soon in the near future.
