RockBand 4 Confirmed and Set To Arrive This Year

Posted March 6, 2015 by Kenesu in News

RockBand fans rejoice as Harmonix has finally shined some light on RockBand 4 and a couple things you can expect from the game so far. Though they haven’t given a specific date, they have stated that RockBand 4 will definitely be released to us this year for the PS4 and Xbox One. It will support over 2,168 tracks previously released in the RockBand 4 Series and will also support the use of last gen’s instruments on the PS4 and Xbox One all while they deliver a brand new drum set and guitar. Check the pics below for a sneak peek of what the new equipment looks like:

Those that are going to PAX, be sure to head over to Harmonix booth so that you can pre-order your very own Exclusive Penny Arcade Guitar (Image below):

It also seems that they’ve decided to go the “Online Patching/Upgrading” route when RockBand 4 hits the shelves, stating that they don’t plan to release any new games within the franchise every year and plan to just upgrade the game that everyone will have already bought. It sounds good, I just want to see how this is actually going to play out in the end.

No info about specific features or exclusive new songs have been released, though Harmonix feel very confident about their approach this year with RockBand 4 as they’ve completely rebuilt the engine from the ground up. All I’m waiting for at this point is the release date and a full track list of all the songs that will be available on the game and I’ll be a happy gamer.

How do you feel about the RockBand Franchise as a whole? Leave your comments below and stay tuned to GP as we continue to keep you up to date one whats circulating within your gaming universe. See ya!
