PS4 Bundle Available with PS Camera

Posted March 31, 2015 by Kat in News

For those interested in getting a PlayStation 4 with the PlayStation Camera, there’s some good news.  Best Buy is currently selling a bundle for which the Camera comes free of cost.

Currently, The Last of Us: Remastered bundle currently being sold by the retailer includes not only the console itself and the hit Naughty Dog game, but it also comes with the Camera.

And here’s where it gets even more interesting.  At present, the Camera is best used for its ability to allow gamers to stream their own gameplay directly up to Twitch.  A useful feature, though the Camera itself has proved less useful in other arenas.  However, it looks to be important in Sony’s upcoming Virtual Reality device.

Sony’s VR device, called Project Morpheus, is still currently in development, and will be requiring the PlayStation Camera.  So anyone interested specifically in acquiring this could find even more benefit taking advantage of this sale.  Especially given that the Camera all on its own costs $60 – basically the same price of an entire other game all at itself when bought at launch.

Project Morpheus, meanwhile, is still in the works, but Sony has announced that will see release in the first six months of 2016.
