PlayStation Network to Undergo Maintenance Mon Mar 23
Another round of maintenance is due for the PlayStation Network, as Sony has announced that Monday is going to see an outage for the system. On Mar 23, the PSN will go down for maintenance starting at 9am PDT/ 12pm EDT/ 4pm UK.
At present, no specific info has been given as to how long exactly the outage will last, or what specific issues Sony may be looking to tackle during this period.
Sony also released information about accessibility of the network during this outage, saying:
“PS4 users will be able to access online gameplay only if their system is activated as their Primary system and they have recently signed into their SEN account and have their authentication details cached.
If your PS4 system is not activated as the Primary system, online gaming may not be available.
PS3 and PS Vita users may experience limited PSN functionality, however online gameplay will be available to users who have recently signed into their SEN account and have their authentication details cached.”
So some of the good news is that it looks as though a certain amount of online gaming will still be accessible during the outage. Keep an eye out for more information hopefully come Monday.
