Microsoft has officially announced its free games for Gold subscribers for April and it looks to be a pretty sweet lineup.  In addition to some solid titles like Child of Light, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and Terraria, this will also be doubling the number of free games from what have been offered in the past.  Hopefully a continual sign of good things to come.

As has been the case in the past, some games will only be available during different periods of the month – specifically those for the Xbox 360, with the breakdown coming from the first and back halves of the month respectively.

Here are all the free games that will be available to Xbox Live Gold subscribers during the month of April:

Xbox One (all month):

  • Pool Nation FX (normally $10)
  • Child of Light (normally $15)

Xbox 360 (April 1-15):

  • Gears of War: Judgment (normally $20)
  • Terraria (normally $15)

Xbox 360 (April 16-31):

  • Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel (normally $20)
  • Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (normally $30)

Microsoft has also announced that over 100 million free games have been announced since the start of their Games With Gold promotion, as well as the fact that now over 5 billion Gamerscore has been achieved.
