With Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain confirmed for release on consoles come September 1, developer Konami has now confirmed that the PC version of the game will see release two weeks later on September 15.  At present, no explanation has been given for the differing release dates.

However, such variances are not unusual.  Last year’s Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes didn’t make its way to the PC until December, a full nine months after it was released to consoles.

In the meanwhile, Konami also announced full content that will come for both the Day 1 and Collector’s Editions of the game.

The Collector’s Edition will sell for $99 and £99 in the UK and comes with it items such as a half scale replica of Snake’s Bionic Arm, a Collectible SteelBook, and a Behind the Scenes Documentary.  Among the DLC items that will be included are the Adam-ska Special Hangun, the Personal Ballistic Shield, and an option in different colors for Snake Costumes.

The Day 1 Edition will cost $59.99 and £59.99 respectively and includes a physical map and a reduced selection of the DLC.

For a full listing of what will be available in the Collector’s Edition you can check that out here.
