Mario vs Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars – 3DS and Wii U
Donkey Kong is at it again and it’s up to Mario once more to chase down DK and stop him from running off with another one of Mario’s damsels. DK has taken Pauline hostage yet again and without skipping a beat, Mario dashes off in hot pursuit of DK. Assisting Mario once again in his attempt to thwart DK’s criminal act of thievery are the Mini Mario Toys, ready to follow and assist Mario in another epic Mario vs Donkey Kong adventure. Make your way through 6 worlds filled with puzzles and gimmicks laid out for Mario to skillfully traverse through all while staying on Donkey Kong’s heels and creating a safe path for his Mini Mario Toys to follow so he can truly see what the big ape is truly up to this time around. There are a ton of new obstacles and challenges spread-out through each level for you to explore and conquer. Once you’ve completed the task at hand, head to the Workshop and try your hand at creating your own custom levels for others to try and get through. You’ll be able to make up to 50 custom levels and share them via Miiverse Community. Hurry and purchase now though, as this game is only for sale on the eShop for the 3DS and Wii U and is a cross buy. If you’re a true fan of the Mario vs Donkey Kong series, you definitely don’t want to miss out on this one.
Shiftlings – PS4
The galaxy is in a current state of emergency and is in need of a hero to restore peace and order to it…. and who better to call to the scene to clean up this mess than… 2 Space Janitors? Yup. Make no mistake, they may be space janitors… but they definitely have the hearts of heroes and the skills of… space janitors?!? Take control of 2 space janitors as they make their way through multiple space stations, manipulating their size and weight from one another through a air hose attached to both of them and watch how they effortlessly restore the faith in humanity and deliver peace to the galaxy.
La Mulana Ex – PS Vita
Explore the tombs of La-Mulana as you take control of Lemeza and proceed to uncover mysteries and solve puzzles with the hopes of finding the true secrets of life itself. With a play style similar to Metroid, you’ll need to find your way through the tombs and ruins set before you and gather as many power ups and items along the way to help assist you in conquering all that oppose you and discovering what is your in dire need of. Life itself is a journey, as you’ll soon come to find out that what it is you seek may not have been something you needed search so far for after all. Though you’ll find out for yourself once you play and experience what La Mulana Ex has to offer.
Metal Gear Solid – PS1
So hearing how the next Metal Gear game in development will be the last Metal Gear of the series kind of got me a little choked up inside. So I figured what better way to tend to those feels than to venture down memory lane and play the game that pretty much stapled Metal Gear as the Blockbuster/Headlining Classic that it’s known to be today…. Metal Gear Solid for the PS1. Join Solid Snake as he’s brought out of retirement as a favor to Colonel Campbell and infiltrates FoxHounds nuclear weapons facility while being briefed on his mission at hand… to locate the Darpa Chief and the Arms Tech President. From here, you’ll see relationships being made, plots twist, relationships broken, necks snapped and bodies left for dead. Re-live awesome gaming moments from meeting Meryl for the first time in the bathroom (if your fast about it, you can actually catch her in some rather provocative wear, haha), to conversing and brawling it out with Grey Fox while he awkwardly expresses his love for pain and repeatedly begs you to “Hurt Him More”, to engaging in classic boss fights with Psycho Mantis, Vulcan Raven, and Sniper Wolf, just to name a few. This game became a staple for PS1 systems and sold very well, later having great follow ups in the Metal Gear Series. Though the series may be coming to an end, Solid Snake will always live on as one of the most AWESOME video game characters in gaming history. If you haven’t played it, you NEED TO. If you have, PLAY IT AGAIN!!!!! Enough Said.
