Dontnod Says Story for Remember Me 2 is Complete

Remember Me

It’s been a couple years since Remember Me‘s release now and its developer has made it known that they already have ideas in mind for a sequel.  Dontnod Entertainment – best known for Remember Me and the in-progress Life is Strange – even went so far as to say that they have the story planned, they just need the official go-ahead from publisher Capcom to get it done.

Creative director for the title Jean-Maxime Moris said of the potential sequel, “We know what we would do for Remember Me 2. The main story has been written. We know what we would add to the recipe. We know what we would fix. It’s a game that’s ready to be made, but that decision is Capcom’s to make.”

At the same time, Moris also acknowledged that such a title might not take priority, with the studio currently focused on development of their episodic game Life is Strange, which will be published by Square Enix.  “Obviously we need to see and Square Enix needs to see how the first season [of Life is Strange] does to really decide whether we kick it off or not.”

While something of a mixed bag in its reception, Remember Me was a surprising title-that-could from the developer, and any fans would no doubt enjoy seeing more from that particular storyworld.

When asked about a potential sequel, the publisher said, “Capcom has made no announcements about a new Remember Me title.”
