BioWare Asks PS4 Fans to be Patient in Waiting for DLC

Dragon Age Inquisition

Xbox One and PC gamers just recently got the first of Dragon Age: Inquisition’s DLC in the form of Jaws of Hakkon, which sends gamers off to explore a Tevinter fortress and prevent the summoning of an ancient god by the titular sect.  Unfortunately, the content has not yet been made available for the PlayStation 4 and there’s still no word on when it could see release.

When discussing the wait, executive producer Mark Darrah asked fans to be patient, saying, “We can not discuss when Jaws of Hakkon will be coming on other platforms,” and then went on to reassure one fan that “it will come.  Hopefully you can be patient.”

This release to only the PC and Xbox One is actually part of a timed-exclusive deal that was made between Microsoft and EA, who owns Inquisition’s developer BioWare.  A similar deal was made between Microsoft and Activision that will mean all Call of Duty DLC will release to the Xbox first.

BioWare and EA have made no announcements about plans to bring the DLC to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.  And unfortunately, Darrah indicated that there’s a clause preventing them from discussing how long this exclusivity will last.

Jaws of Hakkon is currently available for download on the PC and Xbox One for $15.
