It’s Friday, gamers! The past week is coming to a close, but before all that happens and we start our weekends off properly – It’s time for the Weekly News Rundown! The Weekly News Rundown is where I ‘rundown’ some news stories from the past week and let you in on what games released this past week.

It looks like Banjo-Kazooie might not be completely long and forgotten after all…

Some developers that used to work for Rare have started their own studio, entitled Playtonic. Gavin Price and Chris Sutherland which were laid off from Rare last year are the two main ones who started the studio. While at only 6 people right now, the studio hopes to expand some more and get more people on board with them.

The debut game for the studio is called “Project Ukulele”, which is poised to be a spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie.

An ad for the new Mario Party 10 game for the Wii U may have shown off a little more than they were supposed to…

Now the site is in Japanese as it’s for the Japan release of Mario Party 10…but if you surf around on the site and look at the Amiibo section of it, you’ll see three new yet-to-be-announced Amiibo. The site shows off new Amiibo for Wario, Rosalina, and Donkey Kong (See images below). So now all of you Amiibo collectors now have some more to add to your wish-list, that is if they come overseas, which, with the way the Amiibo craze is going, you know they will.

So XSEED Games made an announcement via Twitter…

It looks like Story of Seasons will be making its way to North America come March 31st. The game will release exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS, and will feature total customization of your character. You will be able to play the game how you wish, spending your time raising your farm and harvesting crops. Fans of the Harvest Moon franchise would love this game, as it’s very similar to Harvest Moon.
