Far Cry 4 Gets New DLC ‘Overrun’

Far Cry 4 is getting the latest new package in the form of DLC titled Overrun, now available from developer Ubisoft.  Titled “Overrun” this new expansion comes with it a new PvP mode, additional maps, and a brand new vehicle.

In this case, it’s all about what’s being offered for this PvP mode: it’s designed to challenge different teams in the control of one of three captured zones in order to score points.  And the more team members in control of a particular zone, the more points earned.  Each match runs two rounds and the overall score added together in the final determining factor in declaring victor.

Meanwhile, there are four new maps being offered specifically in direct support of the PvP.  Indeed, there were even designed to “support the tactical yet frenetic” gameplay of the Overrun DLC.

The new vehicle included is the dune buggy, which is described as a combination of speed and power.  As Ubisoft describes it, it can determine who wins out on the battlefield.

Overrun is out now for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 as part of the game’s $30 DLC pass, or for individual purchase.  It will be available on the PC on February 12.

The next piece of DLC for Far Cry 4 Valley of the Yetis will be out later this year.
