Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Multiplayer Free This Weekend on Steam

Posted February 21, 2015 by Kat in News

For anyone interested in trying out some Call of Duty multiplayer, this is the weekend to do it.  Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare‘s multiplayer mode is free through Sunday February 22.  All you need is a Steam account and you’ll have access.

This free trial period comes with it access to all 13 of the game’s base multiplayer maps.  In addition, any progress that is made throughout the multiplayer will carry forward into the full game itself, should you choose to purchase it.  As added incentive, Activision has lowered the cost of the game on the PC through Steam to $40 – while the Digital Pro Edition (which comes with it all the DLC and such) is $75.  Both of these particular deals are good through the end of the weekend.

Meanwhile, the Havoc DLC that was released for Advanced Warfare back in January for Xbox platforms will be making its way to PC and PlayStation editions of the game starting next week.

And in related news, Activision has announced that developer Treyarch will be overseeing this year’s Call of Duty title.  Treyarch is best known for such games as Call of Duty: Black Ops and Zombies.
