Fans of the Metal Gear Solid series may not have to wait much longer for more news about the latest game in the series, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. A recent webcast of the Kojima Station announced that the game’s developers “should be able” to announce the game’s release date soon. Now you may be asking, why should you care? It’s not like the game will be released soon. However this will make the wait just a bit easier, also it’ll let fans with jobs a chance to get some time off just in time.

“I know you’ve all been eagerly await for word on releasing timing. I think we should be able to announce that soon, so look forward to that.” – Kojima Productions

More information about the game will be revealed during the Taipei Game Show on January 31. Though there was another tiny reveal. The team has finished working on some newly introduced elements in the game, so the title will soon be entering the bug testing phase. We don’t know when The Phantom Pain is coming out, but we’ll be eagerly awaiting its release on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
