Limbo May Be Coming To PS4

Posted January 5, 2015 by Ivan "Tech Curse" Mashkov in News

The classic platformer Limbo seems to be coming to Sony’s current generation console, the PlayStation 4. A listing on the official site of the European ratings system, PEGI (via VG 24/7), seems to indicate that a PS4 version of the game will be coming out this year. Now this isn’t an outright confirmation, but it does seem to indicate that this version of the game will be released in 2015.

Limbo was originally released in 2010. In this game players control a small boy on a journey through a very dangerous and dark world. This stylish title takes players on a journey with no real start or conclusion. It is open to anyone’s interpretation, and each and every person has their own thoughts on the matter. Personally, I ended up hitting a wall, when the giant spider appeared. Don’t have arachnophobia, but it still freaked me out.

Playdead, the game’s developer, is currently working on the spiritual successor to Limbo. Inside has been in the works since 2010. It is a 2.5D platformer that has a very similar style and feel to its predecessor. It has an expected 2015 release date as well.
