New 3DS XL

Nintendo’s New 3DS XL is due for release in the US next month with a price tag of $200.  And as extra incentive, GameStop has announced some special deals to make potential purchase of the system a bit cheaper.

On Wednesday, the retailer released an announcement sayings that anyone who trades in either a 3DS XL or PlayStation Vita system will receive $100 in-store credit.  Which, of course, can then be applied toward the New 3DS XL, cutting its cost neatly in half.  Additionally, anyone who trades in a 3DS or a 2DS can receive $75 in-store credit, which can similarly be applied toward the new system’s purchase.

This deal is good for all versions of the New 3DS XL, including the numerous special editions that have already been announced.  It’s currently available in the US, both at physical retailers as well as online.  To pre-order a system, one has to make a $50 deposit to secure it.

GameStop is also offering an exclusive Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Edition bundle with the New 3DS.  It comes with a specially designed system, as well as the game pre-loaded.  This edition of the system is also currently available for pre-order. And if that isn’t enough, you can also attempt to get your hands on the limited edition Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask New 3DSXL, though they’ve sold out everywhere already, several sources say that they may get another wave as the release date gets closer.
