Microsoft had some pretty big announcements during their Windows 10 unveiling recently. One of those announcements had to do with a buzzworthy game called Fable Legends that showed so much promise during last years E3.

If you all remember, Fable Legends is a slight departure from the quirky little action RPG that has seemed to fade a bit in fans minds over the years. This new iteration is meant to be an action RPG with multiplayer intentions. One such feature is to have one player act as an evil overlord and place traps and countless enemies on the board for the heroes to tear through and work together to defeat.

Now, Microsoft has announced that this game will have Cross-Play functionality via Windows 10 between PC gamers and Xbox One gamers. Developer Lionhead will also be porting the game to PCs utilizing Direct X 12. It was unclear as to whether this game will be available for existing version of Windows though. Those who decide to upgrade to Windows 10 (including Windows Phone users) will be able to do so for free for the first year of Windows 10’s release.

The Windows 10 briefing also unveiled the Hololens augmented reality goggles (complete with Cortana) as well as streaming Xbox One games to PC.
