Salutations and happy Friday one and all! This week is coming to a close, but before that happens – It’s time for the GP Weekly News Rundown, or for short, WNR. For those not in the know, WNR is where I, GP’s Nightingale Silva, talked about some of the news from the past week as well as tell you what new games came out this week. Let’s kick things off with some Final Fantasy related news for our first two stories!

Most everybody I know who plays Final Fantasy loves Final Fantasy X (or is it just me?). Earlier this year, Final Fantasy X/X-2 got an HD Remaster for both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Square Enix has recently announced that PlayStation 4 owners will also be able to get their hands on the game come spring of 2015. Gamers will be able to get the game via PlayStation Network and as a physical copy at multiple retailers.

Also announced this week, PS4 owners will get Final Fantasy VII this upcoming spring as well. That will be a download only title.

Some pretty awesome news for those who plan on preordering Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and have an interest in Final Fantasy XV. According to the PlayStation Blog, those who preorder Type-0 will gain special access to a FFXV demo. It’s said that the demo is “intended to be a special gift for those of you who purchase early.” On top of that, Square Enix even stated that they are “never going to release [the demo] as a stand-alone piece down the line.”

So if you want to get your hands on “Episode Duscae”, the FFXV demo that will include up to 3-4 hours of gameplay alongside over an hour’s worth of narrative material, you better hurry and get your preorder in soon!

This title has already seen a delay, and it looks like it’s seeing another. The Witcher 3 was delayed a while back, pushing its original date of fall of this year to February 2015, and now it’s been delayed even further. CD Porjekt Red, the company behind the game, has now announced that the game will release on May 19th of 2015. The studio’s co-founder Marcin Iwinski made the following statements about the game’s setbacks:

“This is not our first game; we are not newbies. It’s not like ‘hey we are delaying and we’ll keep on delaying’.

If you have any doubts about Wild Hunt’s quality, have a look at the 35-minute gameplay video we published some time ago, or check out gamers’ reactions to our public previews at Gamescom, San Diego Comic Con, and E3, and decide for yourself.”
