Dragon Age Inquisition

A month after the release of Dragon Age: Inquisition and fresh off a Game of the Year win at the Video Game Awards, BioWare has announced and released the first of the game’s expanded content.  Both DLC appear to be for the single-player portion of the game, with one coming free to all players, while the other will comes as a cost.

The free expansion is called “Destruction” and this is how BioWare describes it: “Destruction adds new paths to existing destinations. The conflicts raging throughout the world have upset the balance of nature. Wild creatures now roam the battlefield, introducing chaos as they attack both friend and foe. Best of all, you can download this pack right now, totally free!”

The second expansion is called the “Deluxe Upgrade.”  Selling at $10, it serves as what is essentially the content that was included in the slightly more expensive Digital Deluxe edition of the game.  The Deluxe Upgrade comes with it:

  • Skyhold Throne — Every ruler should sit in a place of high honor, but as the Inquisitor you will have the greatest throne of all, fashioned from an ancient dragon skull.
  • Red Hart Halla — Navigate the perilous, living world atop this great-horned beast.
  • Bog Unicorn — Once belonging to an evil marauder, this unique mount has returned to inspire fear into those who would oppose you.
  • Digital Soundtrack
  • Dragon Age Multiplayer Deluxe Edition chests!
  • Multi-class Weapons — Smite your enemies with the Flames of the Inquisition weapons arsenal. Whether staff or daggers, greatsword or war hammer, these weapons will make short work of your foes.
  • Inquisitor Armor — Protect yourself against the onslaught of enemy attacks by suiting up in the Flames of the Inquisition armor.
  • Armored Mount — Flames of the Inquisition gear also includes a valiant steed, complete with its own set of Inquisition armor forged in the flames of battle.

Both expansion packs are out and available for download.  Dragon Age: Inquisition is out and available across PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms.
