Game of Thrones Will Have Five Playable Characters

Game of Thrones

Telltale Games recently confirmed that we’d get the first episode of their Game of Thrones adaptation before year’s end, and now more details about the game are starting to leak out.  The latest and greatest is that this new game will offer up to gamers five different protagonists, all from the same family.  It’s a similar approach that they’re also utilizing for Tales from the Borderlands, expanding upon much of what has already worked so successfully for them in The Walking Dead games.

Vice president for Telltale Games Steve Allen explained, “We always will evolve our story telling toolkit from game to game based on the needs of each franchise and the creative decisions we’ve made.  Tales from the Borderlands adds multi-protagonist storytelling for us layered in the tailored narrative designed established with The Walking Dead and it works amazingly well with two playable characters.”  He then added that in Game of Thrones, they’re taking that design “even further” with the five playable characters “whose choices affect everyone in the family.”

The premeire episodes of both Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones are due out before the end of the year.  So expect much more information in the days and weeks to come.
