Happy Friday one and all! The weekend is upon us, but before we dive into that, it’s time for the Weekly News Rundown! Since Halloween is only a mere week away, a couple of today’s new pieces will be Halloween themed! Yay for all things spooky! But first, let’s dish out the non-spooky-Halloweeny news story – No more free Xbox Music streaming.

Microsoft came forward earlier this week and announced that as of December 1st free music steaming on Xbox Music will be free no more. The company stated that they are “focusing Xbox Music to deliver the ultimate music purchase and subscription service experience for our customers”, and that service is called Xbox Music Pass, and it’ll cost you $10 a month…on top of the $60 we already pay for Xbox Live Gold…yeah.

What do you think of having to pay $10 a month for Xbox Music come December 1st?

Double Fine’s upcoming game, Costume Quest 2, will have an awesome little bonus for those who buy it on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Now, the game is already out on Steam (released back on October 7th), and will release on consoles on October 28th, just in time for Halloween. If you buy Costume Quest 2 on the PS4 or PS3, you will get a Sackboy costume, the adorable little guy in LittleBigPlanet.

Granted, the Sackboy costume won’t be ready in time for the game’s release, but they say it will become available in a free update just a few weeks later. Upon downloading the costume, you won’t be able to access it right away. The Sackboy costume will be acquired like how every other costume is acquired in the game – searching for the four materials you need to make the costume. Once the four materials are acquired, you can don the Sackboy costume to your hearts content. He will even have a special move during battle called Little Big Beat Down (a barrage of punches, basically).

As if Costume Quest wasn’t Halloweeny enough for you, lit looks like something rather spooky and somewhat terrifying will be ‘arriving’ on the Nintendo Wii U sometime in the near future. In a listing from PEGI, it states that Slender: The Arrival will be making it’s way onto the Wii U in the near future. The game will most likely come in the form of a digital download on the eShop. Slender: The Arrival is the sequel to Slender: The Eight Pages.
