Uncharted Has ‘Really Cool Ideas’ Going for It

Uncharted 4

Though it’s now been close to a year since we got the first announcement of a new Uncharted title in development, Naughty Dog and Sony have both been very tight-lipped with details.  Sure, we’ve gotten two quick trailers now, a subtitle, and confirmation that Nathan Drake will still be at the center of the story.  But beyond that?  There’s still just not a whole lot known about the game.

The game’s co-director Bruce Straley gave an interview about Naughty Dog’s 30 year anniversary, and when the subject of the next Uncharted came up, he was very positive about its direction.  “We’re still trying to figure it out and yet I have faith in the team, I have faith in where we’re going with it,” Straley said.  “I can say we have some really, really, cool ideas that I’m really excited to… sometime show you. That’s all I can say but it’s going to be awesome. I’m excited so you should be excited. Naughty Dog has a track record and just trust us, it’s going to be cool.”

So add this to a recent promise from the developer that much more would be learned very soon, and we continue to hold out hope that will be the case.  Nothing else specifically was given, but there is hope that Sony will be offering up more information at their upcoming PlayStation Experience event in December.
