Titanfall Adds 4 Player Co-op Mode In New Free Game Update #8

Posted October 27, 2014 by Bunneh3000 in News

Respawn Entertainment is at it again with yet another free update to entice the community to stay and play just a bit more Titanfall this year. With game update #8, which is available now for all of you dedicated pilots out there, provides the following changes and additions:

  • Frontier Defense

In this 4 player coop horde mode, waves and waves of soldiers, spectres, snipers, and Titans will be thrown constantly at you. As that happens, you earn the ability to lay down defensive turrets as well as loadout crates to help you utilize everything in your disposal.

For some reason this amazing new mode is said to be limited time only but the community wonders why it wasn’t offered with the initial game offering due to the fun to be had. This is definitely a great reason to jump back into your Titan for a few more weeks of Titanfall fun.

  • Ranked Play

An added beta, this mode allows pilots to out perform each other in a tiered challenge. The metrics needed to add this feature are being collected in the beta so only a certain ‘level’ of pilots will be invited to the beta. Once complete, look for a more ‘competitive’ mode to be added for all of the different multiplayer modes.

  • Sudden Death in CTF
  • Map Stars

Apparently Respawn is adding ‘stars’ to all maps and game modes to a tune of around 504. Catchem’ all and you get dandy new Titan Insignias.

  • Full Screen Minimap
  • Private Match Burn Card Sets
  • New Titan OS Voices and Insignias
  • Black Market—Forged Certifications
  • Deadly Ground game mode (November 5th)

With a deadly mist on the ground, everyone will be losing health constantly making for a more ‘elevated’ gameplay style required by all to survive!

  • Marked for Death Pro (November 26th)
