PlayStation Experience to be ‘Unprecedented’

Posted October 21, 2014 by Kat in News

Sony is planning an event for the ultimate of its fans, and more details are starting to filter in.  Announced earlier this month, this PlayStation Experience is set to take place in December, a two-day community-driven gathering that will give fans access and news regarding Sony itself, its software, and upcoming games still to come.

PlayStation boss Scott Rohde described the event, saying, “This event that we’re gonna hold; this is pretty unprecedented.  This is an event for the fans, and I am so incredibly geeked about it. We’re gonna show you a bunch of stuff that maybe we shouldn’t show you yet.”  He also described it as a “celebration of the [PlayStation 4] and all the fans that made it as great as it is today.

Those who attend will get the opportunity to attend panels, meet developers, and get hands-on experience with gaming demos, with other goodies coming in the form of swag and rare collectibles from game studios.  Sony has also promised an “exclusive first look” at anticipated titles for 2015, such is Bloodborne and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and indicated that special announcements could be made during the event.

The PlayStation Experience is set to take place December 6 and 7 in Las Vegas.  A one-day pass goes for $50, while a two-day is $90.
