Wii U’s Fatal Frame Gets a Gameplay Trailer

Posted September 10, 2014 by Felisha "Nightingale" Silva in News

So, I don’t know about the rest of you gamers out there, but I love me some scary games. Well, that being said, I also love Nintendo, solely, my Wii U at the moment. So imagine my excitement and sheer blissful happiness when I heard about a new Fatal Frame game coming out on the Wii U…but so far it’s only announced for Japan…(cue internal sobbing). Anywho, to increase this excitement of mine – along with the excitement of many others who love this franchise – a game play trailer has recently been released for Fatal Frame: The Black-Haired Shrine Maiden.

In the trailer, it shows some nice cut-scenes along with a bit of gameplay, showcasing how you will use the Wii U’s GamePad to control the camera. For those who know nothing of Fatal Frame (Shame on you…just kidding!), the Camera Obscura is your tool against the many ghosts and spirits you will encounter in the game. You use the camera to trap spirits and ghost within it.

The Fatal Frame franchise is based on the belief that one can trap one’s spirit if their picture is taken by a camera, hence being able to overcome the spirits and ‘exercise’ them with the use of the camera.

The game is set to release in Japan on September 27th. No news yet on whether we will see it become available here in North America of not. Keep your sights locked onto Gaming Precision for more new on Fatal Frame: The Black-Haired Shrine Maiden.
