The Evil Within PC Requirements Revealed

Posted September 28, 2014 by Kat in News

It was only just recently announced that The Evil Within had gone gold, and now publisher Bethesda has announced the PC specifications to go with it.  It should be noted that these are the only listings in regards to requirements for a PC to run this game, meaning that there are no minimum or preferred requirements.  As Bethesda even said, “We do not have a list of minimum requirements for the game.”

The PC specifications for The Evil Within are below.

  • 64-bit Windows 7/Windows 8
  • i7 with four-plus cores
  • 4 GB RAM
  • 50 GB of hard drive space (50 GB needed for install, but game will actually only take up around 41 GB of hard drive space, Bethesda says)
  • GeForce GTX 670 or equivalent with 4 GB of VRAM
  • High-speed internet connection
  • Steam account

Bethesda has also said that gamers can attempt to run the game with lower specifications, but that the publisher “cannot guarantee optimal performance.”

They also announced the hard drive space it will take up for consoles, which includes a hefty 40 GB for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and 7 GB for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The Evil Within launches October 14.
