Rockstar is preparing for release of the next-gen edition of Grand Theft Auto V with plans in place to ship editions for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One out on November 18.  Though unfortunately, the PC edition of the game has since been delayed to January 27 of next year.

But in the meanwhile, a host of new details have been released about the next-gen edition of this game.  Upgrades to the experience will include a wide array of technical improvements, among them including enhanced detail, and longer draw distances.  In addition, new features for the game will include:

  • new weapons, vehicles, and activities
  • additional wildlife
  • denser traffic
  • new foliage system
  • enhanced damage and weather effects

Those who pre-order the next-gen edition of the game will receive $1 million in-game bonus cash as an incentive, available for use across both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online.  In Grand Theft Auto Online, the player count on consoles has also been raised to 30.  All upgrades and content that have since been released for the game will also be available with Rockstar promising that there is “much more to come.”

Grand Theft Auto V is now available for pre-order, and also offers to ability to transfer from last-gen editions of the game.
