Destiny

The long-awaited Destiny is finally seeing the light of day, and with it is coming a hefty day-one patch.  Bungie has released full details of what patch 1.01 entails, which includes everything from abilities within classes, changes on the map, and vehicles, among other things.  In addition, once this patch is installed, players will earn Crucible Marks faster, bounties can be claimed at level 4 rather than 6, and agility will play a great role in determining speed.

Bungie has already stated that this is not the last patch, and indeed, more are already in the works, with further content and additional improvements on the docket.  The developer has stated that their intent “is to constantly improve the live game.  The game we hope is competing for you free time.”

Some of the more significant additions and improvements that come with this patch include:

  • Removed subclass locking from builds
  • Adjusted the unlock order for all subclass trees
  • Adjusted the cooldown ranges of armor states (Intellect, Discipline, Strength)
  • Removed weapon speed penalties from extended sprinting
  • Capped inventory to 999 rounds
  • Fixed several weapons that would display an incorrect magazine size.

The full list of changes from the patch can be viewed on Bungie’s website hereDestiny is now available for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
