Evolve Delayed Until 2015

Posted August 7, 2014 by Ivan "Tech Curse" Mashkov in News

The most anticipated title of 2014, Evolve, from Turtle Rock Studios is getting delayed. Oh the horror! This game was the one that many gamers, myself included, wanted to get their hands on as soon as humanly possible. However it seems that we’ll have to wait until February 10, 2015 before this game blows our collective minds.

This news was announced as part of Take Two’s financial results (via Gamespot) for the most recent quarter. The decision to change the release date for the title was further explained during an earning’s call that took place later that day.

“We are encouraged by the overwhelmingly positive response from press and fans, and believe by extending development by a few months, it will allow the team enough time to fully realize their creative vision for Evolve.” – Karl Slatoff, Take Two Interactive President

“Historically, we’ve always benefited from giving the creative teams more time to polish the titles; we’ve never regretted it.” – Strauss Zelnick, Take Two Interactive CEO

Evolve is a multiplayer title that challenges players to fight four on one. Four players will join forces as hunters against a single player-controlled monster. Fight it out in massive worlds, track down the monster, hide from the hunters and gather your strength. This asymmetric multiplayer shooter will have gamers excited and Gaming Precision will keep you updated. The monster will will you if you don’t Game Responsibly!
