Project Spark Gets a Release Date

Posted July 8, 2014 by Felisha "Nightingale" Silva in News

One of the more anticipated games for the Xbox One has finally received a release date, Project Spark – the disc edition – will be hitting stores everywhere this upcoming October. Team Dakota will be bringing Project Spark to North America on October 7th, October 9th for Asia-Pacific countries, and October 10th for Europe.

The disc edition, Project Spark Starter Pack, exclusive to the Xbox One will contain multiple premium content, such as a pretty neat sci-fi pack “Galaxies: First Contact”, the very first episode of a campaign entitled “Champions Quest: Void Storm”, and champion warrior by the name of Sir Haakon “Hawk” the Knight!

The game is free digitally, but if you want the disc version with the extra goodies, it’ll cost you $40. The awesome thing about the digital version of the game is that as Team Dakota moves Project Spark out of beta, they will release an update that will keep it to where the shift from beta to normal will not affect what the player has already done in-game.

The game has been in beta since December of last year for both Windows 8.1 and the Xbox One. It’s great to hear that it will be releasing in October, just in time for the holidays, or for those of us who want to treat ourselves to an early Christmas.
