Destiny is the next game from the creators of one of the best video game series ever: Halo. It will be coming to Microsoft’s current generation console, the Xbox One. This seems like the perfect opportunity for Resolutiongate to make a return. However in a recent IGN livestream (via VG 24/7 and The Destiny Blog) Bungie Community Manager David Dague (Deej) confirmed that the Xbox One version of the game will not be running at 1080p during the upcoming beta. It will be running at 1080p, when the full game launches later this year.

The developer was waiting for Microsoft to release the latest Xbox One SDK, which will free up the console’s processing power that is normally devoted to the Kinect 2.0. This processing power will allow the game to run at 1080p. The beta is available right now and you can check it out here.

The latest title from Bungie is the studio’s first attempt at a new property since Halo 3. The game will take players to a distant future where humans are in decline with only a mysterious sphere protecting the final human city. This first-person shooter MMO will ask players to become the defenders of the last human city and defend it against the various hostile aliens.
