Halo 5 Beta In December, Halo Collection Only For Xbox One

Posted June 23, 2014 by Bunneh3000 in News

One of the big highlights for myself at the Microsoft Conference was the abundance of content that will be available for the Master Chief Collection. With over 45 campaign missions and over 100 multiplayer and Spartan Ops maps, this collection is sure to boost any FPS player’s fever for gruntaculars and Spartans than anything else in recent memory.

In addition to Halo’s 1 through 4, this enhanced collection will contain access to the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta. This advanced look at Master Chief’s next generation debut will begin December 27th and run for two weeks. Ross wrote on Xbox Wire:

Halo 5: Guardians is a bigger effort than Halo 4. That applies to the content and scope of the game, as well as the technology in what’s now a brand new and more powerful engine. Certainly there are some core elements carried over from prior games, but we’ve invested a huge effort in retooling our tech to take full advantage of the Xbox One’s hardware and ecosystem to create worlds and experiences worthy of next-gen.

The wonderful minds at 343 Industries have explained that the Master Chief Collection is, for now, an Xbox One only experience since the games already exist on the Xbox 360. Apparently this means that the collection won’t be seen on the PC for some time.
