The madness of the biggest and baddest video game conference, E3, is over and games have started appearing from the holes they scurried away to… Okay! No more comparing video games to furry creatures. There are few great games available right now, however we do have a fighting game, a game where you fight aliens, a game with a weird name and, finally, the attack of the mutant blobs!

We’re starting off with a game, where we can destroy enemies as the master himself, Bruce Lee. EA Sports UFC pits world-renown mixed martial artists against each other. Enter the octagon and let the best fighter leave.

This latest title from EA (Electronic Arts) offers players a chance to spar against an adaptive AI that will adapt to any changes in strategy mid-game, which makes the game far more immersive. Many sports games attempt to simulate their respective sports to an extreme and it’s no different for fighting games. UFC features “full body deformation,” which is meant to connect players to their selected character. Check this title out on current generation consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) right now.

You would think that XCOM: Enemy Unknown was enough. However we’re still getting a remake of the original XCOM game. Xenonauts bring player the fell, the graphics and everything else from the original XCOM game. Manage the Earth’s defense, shoot down any enemy fighters and research new gear for your soldiers. All of the hallmarks of classic XCOM games are there, though the title has been improved in a few ways.

Xenonauts will feature “enhancements” to the original game that have appeared in subsequent games or spiritual successors: simultaneous combat between three UFOs/fighters on each side, soldier loadouts are saved between missions, soldiers can be arranged in the dropship before the mission starts, the cover system from Enemy Unknown, allied police and military units will appear on the map and, finally, alternative victory conditions during a mission. This title is out on PCs, so check it out, if you’re interested at all.

Are you looking for a puzzle game to keep your mind working in top form, then Pushmo World is for you. This latest title in a series of puzzle video games is available on the Wii U. Check out the large number of puzzles available on hand or create your own and share it with the world.

We finish today off with a PS Vita game that is coming to the PS3. Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack has gamers play as a cute little blob that has escaped from a science lab and is creating chaos. Eat and become bigger, so that you can overcome any challenge and destroy the city. Use a variety of powers to keep you going in this 2D platformer that looks like a ton of fun. Don’t fret, if you don’t have a PS3 or Vita, because the game is out on a variety of platforms, including Xbox 360 and PCs.

That’s it for this week. You! Yes, you dear reader! Now it’s up to you to just get playing games. Remember – Game Responsibly!
