GP Picks

It is that time of the week. It is time for Gaming Precision’s Picks for the week of June 6, 2014. We break down four great games that you can binge on over the weekend. This week we only got three solid titles for our perusal and a highly-rated title from The Tech Curse Video Games Library.

The first pick isn’t that great of a game, however it does deal with the occult and ghosts, so there will be people that may enjoy this game. Murdered: Soul Suspect has gamers play as Detective Ronan O’Connor, who must solve his own murder. The game takes place in Salem, Massachusetts, a town with a lot of history. The title has been criticized for creating a linear, very simple story campaign across a poorly designed Salem. However it is still a stylish and unique game that many gamers will find appealing.

Lifeless Planet is a great indie title from Stage 2 Studios that has been available on Steam Early Access. A lone explorer on a distant planet discovers a lifeless Soviet Union outpost and has to figure out what is happening. The game is a series of linear levels and the various mysteries of the planet are revealed as players progress through the puzzle and platforming sections. The game features a dynamic difficulty that adapts the game depending on players’ skills. Discover the secrets of the world you are plunged into and find a way out!

If you’re looking for a life simulation title, then look no further than Tomodachi Life. Experience life on an island with your Mii. Export it from various sources or create it from scratch. Give it a unique voice through a voice synthesizer and unique personality. Have your Mii interact with other player-controlled Miis. Let them eat, play and have all kinds of fun, while you’re stuck in traffic or getting crushed on the train. Make friends, rivals, fall in love and get married. There is a lot of fun to be had with the Nintendo community in Tomodachi Life.

The final pick this week is Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, the original game in the story arc that was followed by Ground Zeroes and will be followed by The Phantom Pain. It follows Big Boss as he forms Militaires Sans Frontiers. Join in the incredibly detailed and complex alternate history universe of the Metal Gear series.

Play as some of the iconic characters from the series in this spin-off from the main series. Perfect your missions score as you battle countless enemies and bosses. Bring back everything you find to your Mother Base. Recruit enemy soldiers and POWs, research new guns, supplies and other equipment that will let you take on bigger and more deadly bosses. Follow the incredible story told through comic cutscene moments. Save the planet from nuclear annihilation and stop the “Peace Walker.”

That’s it for this week’s GP Picks. Remember to have fun this weekend and follow the cardinal rule of Gaming Precision: Game Responsibly!
