The Order: 1886 Delayed to 2015
Sony has announced that their third-person shooter PlayStation 4 exclusive The Order: 1886 has been delayed until “early” 2015. Originally slated for a late 2014 release, the steampunk shooter was initially revealed with an exciting announcement trailer at last year’s E3, already showing off the stunning visuals that the game looks to be boasting. The Order: 1886 is being developed by Ready at Dawn (the studio best known for bringing God of War to the PlayStation Portable) and Sony Santa Monica.
The game follows Sir Galahad and three additional knights who have all adopted names from King Arthur’s court, who live in an alternate universe version of London and battle the monsters that live there. The characters also use a substance known as “Black Water” that allows enhancement of their powers and extension of their lifespans.
In regards to the delay, a Sony spokesperson explained, “As we look to bring this experience to the players, we have decided to spend some extra time to deliver on the promise we made when we first introduced the game. As such, you can expect The Order: 1886 to come exclusively to the PlayStation 4 in early 2015.” Hopefully, we’ll learn further about the game itself and when we can expect release at next month’s E3.
