Awesome news for all of those who are eagerly awaiting the release of Mario Kart 8. This weekend at select GameStop retailers, customers will be able to demo Mario Kart 8 from 12pm to 4pm local time. This weekend demo, May 17th-18th, is part of the “Mario Kart 8 Test Drive Days” promotion. Those who attend and either reserve the game or already have it reserved, will get an exclusive double-sided poster while supplies last. If you go to GameStop’s website, they have a list of all 2,700 store that will be participating in “Mario Kart 8 Test Drive Days“.

Anyone familiar with the Wii U knows by now that the system has been struggling from the beginning. Nintendo hopes that Mario Kart 8 will be the first of many titles that will spark the selling of their latest home console. With other big titles such as Super Smash Bros., Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2, and Legend of Zelda U, we can only hope that the Wii U will begin to see better days in the future.

Mario Kart for the Wii sold well over 35.5 million copies, making it the best selling title…I for one can’t wait to see how Mario Kart 8 fairs.
