GameStop Will Take Trade-In Towards New Xbox One Without Kinect Pre-Orders

I’m pretty sure by now everyone has heard about Microsoft’s latest plight to sell their Xbox One more than ever. Microsoft has announced that they will be selling Xbox One consoles without the Kinect starting on June 9th, which will drop the price by $100, going from $499 down to $399.

This new selling point may make more people privy to wanting an Xbox One in their homes now, and I you just so happen to be one of those people, your local GameStop will be accepting trade-ins (and money of course!) towards the pre-order of a Kinect-less Xbox One.

If you trade in the original 4GB Xbox 360 or a 12GB PlayStation 3, you will receive $75 in store credit to put towards your new Xbox One sans Kinect. If you trade in an Xbox 360 with 250GB or more, or a PlayStation 3 with 20GB or more, that’ll give you a whopping $125 in store credit. Those with a PowerUp Pro subscription will get an extra $10 tacked onto their store credit. I could see myself trading in my 360, but my PlayStation 3…NEVER.

If you are looking to pre-order yourself the Kinect-less Xbox One, the minimum deposit for the system is $100.
