Watch Dogs Wii U May Be Out in the Fall
Watch Dogs for the Wii U may have been unofficially given a time window of release, as was spotted with the listing of the game on the developer’s online store. Ubisoft’s Uplay store currently lists the game as being released sometime in Fall of 2014. Delay for the game on the Wii U was originally announced back in February with no indication as to when it might be targeted for release. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said that they were taking extra time with the Wii U version to “focus the team’s resources where they could have the broadest possible benefit for both our customers and Ubisoft.” It was also indicated that the development team was still exploring the uniqueness of the GamePad in regards to how it will play with the game.
Even though the Uplay store might not be the best reliable source, given that the Australian store still lists the game as coming out May 27, it has been confirmed via a Ubisoft rep to NintendoEnthusiast that they are aiming for a Fall 2014 release. This is undoubtedly exciting news for Wii U owners hoping to get their hands on the game. Watch Dogs is currently scheduled to release on May 27 for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
