SNES & GBA Remixes Is A Possibility, But It Depends On The Fans

Posted April 24, 2014 by Felisha "Nightingale" Silva in Uncategorized

How awesome is NES Remix  for the Wii U? If you haven’t played it, and you’re a fan of the retro games from Nintendo’s age of the NES, then you should stop reading, and go play it now… Just kidding, keep reading to learn neat stuff, then go play.

In all seriousness though, NES Remix is a very fresh take on the beloved NES titles we all loved and grew up with. Taking certain levels from select games such as Mario Bros. and the original Legend of Zelda, and turning them into mini-missions with updated graphics and all. With all of this being said, and the fact that we already got an NES Remix 2, it leaves us all wondering where this Remix series will go from here.

Koichi Hayashida had an interview with IGN recently where he discussed the possibility of branching out and making other versions such as an SNES Remix and a GBA Remix. In the end, though, it all comes down to the demand from fans, the people who want to see this become a reality.

If we get a big enough cry for that, with a lot of people saying, ‘Hey, we’d love to see more of these perhaps for the SNES, Game Boy, or Game Boy Advance,’ then it would be something we can take a look at. – Koichi Hayashida, director of NES Remix

He further went on to state that he has “a large desire to explore that very idea.”

What do you think? Would you play an SNES or a GBA Remix? I know I sure would.
