Nintendo Releases Princess Peach WiiMote Plus Next Week

Posted April 15, 2014 by Felisha "Nightingale" Silva in News

First, Nintendo released a special edition Mario and Luigi WiiMote Plus, the Mario one donning a red front with a blue back, while the Luigi one has a bright green front with a blue back. Each remote also adorned with an “M” on the red one and an “L” on the green one. It was only a matter of time before everyone’s favorite princess of the Mushroom Kingdom joined in on the special edition WiiMote Plus fun. Coming next week here in North America, Nintendo will be releasing a Princess Peach themed WiiMote Plus. The remote will have a two-tone pink layout, with a yellow D-Pad and a white crown on the speaker, just like the “M” and “L” on the Mario and Luigi ones. The WiiMote Plus will be priced at $39.99, and can be used on both the Wii and the Wii U.

Honestly, this should have been released back when the Mario and Luigi ones were, it would have been pretty awesome to use these controllers to play Super Mario 3D World. But perhaps Nintendo is releasing a Princess Peach pink WiiMote now since they have released two different versions of a pink 2DS, North America getting a white 2DS with pink buttons, while Europe is getting a solid pink one with white buttons. You can get your hands on the Princess Peach WiiMote Plus on April 22nd.
