Costume Quest 2 Announced

Finally, something else to make me look forward to this year’s Halloween more than I already did! Double Fine, the developer behind Costume Quest which released a few years back, has announced that they are working on its sequel, Costume Quest 2, and plan on it releasing just in time for Halloween 2014! Double Fine’s Tim Schafer told IGN that a sequel for the game was more of a “demand” and that he didn’t have “much choice in the matter”.

Schafer goes on further to say: “It is that game, you can’t slip that schedule. It’s the kind of game you always want to revisit, there’s such a great core to it.”

The battle system has been improved, making it “deeper and juicier” than before. The main characters are the same as they were in the last game, Wren and Reynold will make their triumphant return in the game with a whole new arsenal of action-packed, transforming Halloween costumes.

I for one cannot wait to get my hands on this game, the first one was so much fun, and made for a very enjoyable Halloween game to help get into the Halloween spirit! I look forward to seeing what new costumes we’ll get for this one, and if any of the previous ones will return. The game will be available for both consoles and PC.
